Katie Yantzi

After graduating with a degree in Cognitive Science of Language, Katie moved from Canada to rural Akita prefecture to work as an assistant language teacher. She enjoys reading, writing, hiking, snowboarding, and music-making. She is often fascinated and sometimes perplexed by foreign cultures and languages, and likes to document her discoveries through writing and photography. She edits and writes for akitaculture.wordpress.com, and also posts book-related musings at lookabookblog.wordpress.com.
