Today’s topic is pretty light and “punny.”
Every country has jokes that are combinations of same or similar sounding words, right?

I’m not sure whether you’ll find these funny or not, but I’d like to introduce a few jokes that might be effective for remembering vocabulary.

New York de “nyuyoku = to take a bath”. (“Take a bath in New York”)

Tosan = Father” no kaisha ga “tosan = bankrupt” shita! (“My father’s company went bankrupt!”)

Free wa “furi = disadvantageous” . (“Free is disadvantageous”)

Fukubucho = assistant manager” no teburu o “fuku = to wipe” bucho. (“The manager is wiping the assistant manager’s desk.”)

Yosou = predictions” wa “yosou = let’s not”. (“Let’s not make predictions.”)

I hope at least one of these might help you in your studies.
If you know of any good ones, please tell me!
