How would you like to spend your time inside a robot suit entertaining people who thought you were a real robot? What would you do if someone fell in love with you, not suspecting a human is inside?
That’s the wacky premise for the film “ROBO-G,” currently playing.
In the film, three engineers working at very small consumer electronics maker company are asked by their boss to develop a robot to advertise the company at a robot exhibition. However, the robot they develop, “New Shiokaze” (New sea breeze) breaks down a week before the exhibition opens. So they hit upon the idea of putting a man inside the suit. They find a cranky 73-year-old grandfather (played by Mickey Curtis). He does his job so well that no one realizes the robot is not real. Things turn bizarre when a young woman, who is a robot freak, falls in love with the robot.
