Nestle has a new canned coffee drink on the market, Nescafe Komi-baisen. The company launched the product on Monday at Cafe Nescafe in Harajuku with the girls from idol group Idoling!!! They were joined by popular TV program MC Hideyuki Nakayama.

Nakayama tried two kinds of Nescafe Komi-baisen series —  one that was low in sugar and the other, a blend. He said the low in sugar one is easy to drink and good for break time, while the blend is a great match with cream and coffee.

By the way, Monday was Respect-for-the-Aged Day, so the Idolling!!! members sent messages and recommended Nescafe Komi-baisen to their grandparents.

Then the grandmother of one of the group, Hitomi Miyake, attended as a surprise guest. Miyake’s grandmother showed her hula dancing skills.

 Idoling!!! will be taking part in the ad campaign for Nescafe Komi-baisen through Nov 30.

The member who gets the most votes will become the main MC in December for the radio program “Idoling!!!’s Friday 8” which will airs from October 7.
