Japan entertainment tours

August 25th, 2010By Category: Arts & Entertainment

Many come to Japan in search of a favorite aspect of its culture, a movie or entertainment piece that they first saw “back home”. As Japan Pulse reports, you can now explore Japan through entertainment thanks to KNT! – a tour company that has designed a series of themed tour packages and is advertising them in one handy website (nihongo required).

Mostly targeting Japanese folks, tourists can track down exactly what they want by browsing genres such as Korean drama, featuring a fan meeting with local boy band Big Bang or others such as an exploration into Chinese pop culture.

As the blog reports however, it is in the ‘ other’ category where things get interesting. Apart from trips to see the WWE Summer Slam (including exclusive souvenir gifts), there are overnight stays in an onsen with talento Haruhi Ryouga (autographs and room-calls an optional extra) and the stand out, Love Plus Plus tour.

We covered other contributions the game Love Plus is making to society here; in this latest example, you can make a romantic overnight stay in Atami, where the game is set and is offered as a chance for eager gamers to take their 2d girlfriends around for a tour. Augmented reality iPhone apps give the impression that the girl is really there with you, allowing for plenty of rabu rabu photos like the one above. With the co-operation of local businesses, it is also possible to join in on a ‘stamp rally‘, visiting a number of locations around the area that are featured in the game and purchasing branded merchandise there in.
