Miyazaki Lego Sculptures

July 16th, 2012By Category: Arts & Entertainment

The wonderful characters of Hayao Miyazaki have long enjoyed both commercial and critical success in Japan. If you’re a fan of his works, you would notice that his films contain recurrent themes like humanity’s relationship with nature and technology, and most of his films feature independent and strong young women. But what happens when we combine Miyazaki’s characters with another famous toy? It’s Asia meets Europe with these Miyazaki characters built on Lego by Iain Heath:

My Neighbor Totoro

Ponyo

Princess Mononoke (Ashitaka and San)

Spirited Away

Laputa – Castle in the Sky

Miyazakitopia at Brick Con 2010 by Iain Heath
