It’s the end of the year and with that, come end-of-the-year-lists.
We already got started with one on Japan’s top products, another one on next year’s top products and now Google, whose latest ad video we looked at too, has released their list of Japan’s most popular keywords for the past 12 months.
Google highlights the World Cup, iPad in Japan, the meaning of hit movie Inception and comedian Takashi Okamura among the top terms. Others of note: Justin Bieber, K-pop band Girls Generation (pic), rare earths, vuvuzela and the meaning of ‘Galapagos.’ Overall, however, the most common search for terms are what you expect, primarily people looking for popular web services, though it is perhaps interesting to note that Youtube beat Yahoo and Facebook came out on top of mixi.
