Japan International Boat Show 2012

Good news for people who like the sea and marine activities.  The Japan International Boat Show 2012 will be held at Pacifico Yokohama and Yokohama Bayside Marina from March 1 to 4.

Entrance fee is 1,000 yen. (Free for anyone under 15)

The two venues will hold different marine events.

 Pacifico Yokohama

Pacifico Yokohama will focus on the joy of marine activities. There will be exhibitions, hands-on experience space and a stage area. The will be many displays of motor boats, yachts, watercraft, canoes and other marine activity items.

Visitors will be able to marine leisure and sports products, accessories, books about marine life, and so on.

For children, classes will teach water safety, boating and other fun marine activities.

Yokohama Bayside Marina

At Yokohama Bayside Marina, you’ll see about 40 big boats and yachts, some up to 10 meters in length, moored for display.

Visitors will have the chance to try the cruising experience program on four kinds of boats. About 1,000 people are expected to participate  in the program which will be held on March 3 and 4 only.
