Shibuya Nights

August 2nd, 2010By Category: Photography

This year’s summer continues to hit record highs with week after week of temperatures in the mid 30’s, unusual compared to historical trends. If you find yourself unable to sleep at night, confined in the comforts of a tiny Tokyo apartment, taking a stroll outside in the cooler evening could just be the cure.

Shibuya may not be everyone’s cup of tea to visit and beat the heat, but the buzz, lights, and characters you encounter certainly makes it engaging. It’s also a great place for some night photography. If bokehlicious imagery is your thing, Shibuya should definitely be on your list. Depending on your camera kit and skill-set, a fast lens will provide dramatic depth of field and transform any glimmering lights into twinkling orbs.
