OVERSEAS 2012: 3 women photographers bring the world closer to Japan

RICOH Photo Gallery RING CUTE in Ginza is holding a photo exhibition called “OVERSEAS 2012” which displays photos taken by three Japanese women in foreign countries.

The theme of the photo exhibition is that “the world is closer than we feel and think.”

Here are the three 3 women photographers.

1. Kumi Oguro

Oguro holds individual exhibitions and group exhibitions in countries such as Belgium, Holland, France, Denmark, and so on. Oguro held her first exhibition in Japan, “NOISE” at SANAGI FINE ARTS and NADAR/TOKYO, in 2010. She is going to hold her first exhibition in Antwerp, Belgium at Stieglitz19 Gallery in September.

 

2. KABO

KABO is a photographer for fashion and music magazines, and ad photos. She presents her own style of photographs in magazines, advertisements, CD jackets, music videos, and so on, mainly in Hong Kong. She published her photograph collection “Undercover/ W.W magazine” and takes part in individual and group exhibitions in a wide area.

 

3. Yoko Naito

Naito is working as a photographer mainly in New York. She has held group exhibitions and individual exhibitions in mainly Tokyo and New York and other countries too. She will participate in a book fair to promote her photograph collection “maybe see you?” in March.

The photo exhibition “OVERSEA 2012” is open from 11:00 t0 20:00. (until 17:00 on last day, March 11. Closed on Tuesdays.)

Admission is free.
