Shopping in Shibuya

One thing that women love to do is shopping and the holiday season in Japan means jam-packed shoppers in popular shopping areas like Shibuya, where everything from kawaii to high fashion are available. Being close to one of the busiest train stations in Japan, Shibuya has also become one of the top fashion centers in the country, particularly for young people and has been gaining popularity as a major nightlife area.

Not only are there many trendy fashion stores but you can also see many young Japanese people wearing the latest and some just outrageous fashion in the streets. Each street has its own characteristic look and they are always crowded day and night, mostly with teenagers, which gives you a direct feel for the latest Japanese fashion trends. Shibuya is filled with department stores, restaurants, game centers and specialty shops selling everything from home accessories to cosmetics to anime and halloween costumes.
