Night Time Sakura

April 8th, 2010By Category: Uncategorized

Parks and hanami festivals were especially busy this year as they hit full bloom on the first weekend with warm weather to hit Tokyo in 2010.  Ueno, Yoyogi and all the other parks were packed with thousands of visitors as everybody went out to enjoy Tokyo in all its splendor.

Our GaijinPot photographer avoided the crowds, however, and captured these images of sakura at night.

Hmm.. as a visitor, going to the parks to see sakura is great, but my favorite was to see sakura would be at unexpected places, such as walking to an area or on the train itself. I was sad to leave Tokyo this past Monday, but as I recall watching sakura from the train makes for a great moments glance.
