EtonHouse Preschool in Japan

June 16th, 2010By Category: Uncategorized

EtonHouse International is a Singapore based Education Group that will be opening its first center this August.  The campus will be in Tokyo and they are hiring English and Chinese language teachers now (you can check their jobs here). The preschool has been a huge hit in Singapore as well as China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia and Korea where they also operate with its well-known inquiry-based education (taken from the International Baccalaureate (IB)). The school will take up to 120 students, all following EtonHouse’s “Inquire, Think, Learn” curriculum, which itself is inspired by the work of the Reggio Emilia preschools and infant toddler centers in Italy. Reggio Emilia was recognized by Newsweek magazine as being among the best preschools in the world.

Students at EtonHouse Tokyo are offered a ‘holistic education’ right from nursery to kindergarten age. In addition to learning in English, a Mandarin second-language program will be offered to help children develop competencies in other languages. Educating more than 3,000 students of 54 different nationalities at over 24 schools in seven countries, EtonHouse has a truly dynamic and multicultural environment with a proven expertise in creating international educational environments of the very highest standard.
