Cute Japanese Gas Tanks

March 10th, 2011By Category: Uncategorized

Another terrific series of images from Pink Tentacle, who this week have been taking a look at Japan’s odd penchant for decorating some of the large gas tanks that lie dotted around the country.

Their collection of pics, as well as a lot of their other features, are big, brash, and offer a fun look at little-known art from around the country. We are introducing a couple of the more intriguing examples here and urge you to head over to their site to check out the full collection.

Courtesy of a Japanese blogger, this one comes via Shibata in Niigata prefecture.

Ok, this one is not quite real, but makes for an interesting look at where things might end up.

Head over to Pink Tentacle for the full collection.
