YouTube channel to help quake victims communicate

We have seen some great responses by services on the web to help people stay in touch and access information from quake-hit areas.

Google has been leading the pack with its crisis response page, maps of tsunami damaged areas, people finder and other tools that have all made a huge difference.

Now YouTube (together with TBS News) has just launched a special Missing Person Finder channel where people from the various shelters and those affected by the quake can share video messages.

The YouTube page is particularly nice as it offers a visual communication platform for people to get their message out.  As the old saying goes, a picture can be worth a thousand words.

For those looking to get information on individuals who were living in northern Japan, it is also a fantastic way to find out if loved ones are OK.

Access it here.
