Hilton Tokyo Bay Christmas train display back again this year

October 19th, 2011By Category: Uncategorized

Tokyo Disney Resort Official Hotel, Hilton Tokyo Bay (Maihama, Urayasu City in Chiba Prefecture) will once again have its popular Christmas train running in the lobby from Nov 5 to Jan 9, 2012.

The exhibition has been held for the past 12 years.  The 60-square-meter model railroad runs in a recreated European wonderland, complete with the “people” who live there. The trains are from famous German maker Lehmann, which is popular with railway model fans.

The Hilton Tokyo Bay donates part of the profits from advertising on the trains and buildings to NPOs every year. This year, the money will go to Save the Children’s “Restart Japan fund” which is aimed at encouraging children in the areas devastated by the March 11 disaster.
