Dole has installed a banana vending machine at Tokyo Station on the Marunouchi subway line. One banana costs 130 yen, and a bunch is 390 yen. Dole says it is targeting students and salary men who miss their breakfast.

Tokyo Metro expects to get about 100,000 yen income a month from the vending machine.

Besides bananas, Tokyo Metro is considering to install vending machines that sell various goods to protect against the cold weather.
