Famous Napolitan pizza restaurant L’Antica Pizzeria da Michele has opened a branch in Tokyo. Long lines always form outside L’Antica Pizzeria da Michele branches and Tokyo is no exception.

There are only two pizzas on the menu, but all the ingredients are carefully selected. The margherita pizza combines rich mozzarella cheese, basil and tomatos, and the marinara with tomatoes, garlic, and oregano. The dough is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The taste is exactly the same as in Naples.

Customers are able to see how the pizzas are made by the well-trained chef at the open kitchen.  marinara pizza creates the best match with beer.

A PR spokesperson for the restaurant said: “We chose Ebisu for the first location because the atmosphere and calm mood are similar to Naples.”

The margherita pizza costs 1,800 yen for 35 cm or 1,450 yen for  one size smaller. The marinara pizza is 1,500 yen for 35 cm and 1,250 yen for one size smaller.

In addition to the pizza menu, there are also “assorted Italian uncured ham” and “fried stuffed peppers” that diners can enjoy with a drink or two.

So come and enjoy the original taste of Naples pizza.
